Symantec Backup Exec users are switching to Veeam
More of our customers switch from Symantec than any other vendor. They start out looking for Backup Exec alternatives but they switch because Veeam® is built for virtualization and their modern data center. When looking at Backup Exec competitors, you want a partner you can rely on for the long term. Beyond switching, our customers stay with us because of our top-notch support, continuous innovation and support for the latest platforms, and because Veeam “just works!”

2Stop waiting for upgrades
Fast-moving companies like yours can’t wait for their backup vendor to support the latest technology releases or make critical updates. So, why should you? Plus, what does it say when a major update for Backup Exec is equivalent to what Veeam delivers via patch (and much earlier)? Veeam believes in packing every major release full of innovative features that you asked for – bringing you even more value for your investment.
Veeam, not Symantec, is the first to support both vSphere 5.5 and Windows Server 2012 R2

3Save time with a simpler, more streamlined approach
Purchasing, deploying and maintaining agents is costly and confusing. Symantec Backup Exec requires agents for application-aware backups, or granular application recoveries. Veeam users can perform file-level recovery and application-level backup and recovery—all without agents!

What customers are saying*
Our upgrade experience to Veeam B&R v7 was very fluid and easy to do, said Stephen Smith, Systems Administrator at Competitive Energy Services. I adjusted the jobs after we completed the upgrade and implemented several of the new features. We have now cut our backup time by almost 3 hours with the new version. Obviously, we are extremely happy with Veeam, its support team and their software.
Veeam is the only solution we've used to date that provides the tested assurance of fast backups and instant recovery of not only single servers, but also entire AD forests and App servers with simplicity. It also provides by far, the best value for the cost compared to any other solution we've looked at or used previously. Couldn't recommend it high enough.
Backup Systems have always been a struggle to setup and keep running. Veeam is the first product that I was able to setup and deploy quickly and have up and running in a reliable fashion. Finally a backup solution I don't have to babysit. Veeam should purchase the slogan from RonCo which is SET IT AND FORGET IT!.
BE is broken on the most basic level…They are YEARS behind in supporting recent versions of VMware and MS server versions...Really is sad...I would not have believed how broken BE2012 is it if I did not go through it.
Veeam backup is simply the best....it allows me to perform DR and BCP actions quicker and more reliable than anything else on the market.
